Not Guilty At Trial

The client was charged with battery causing serious bodily injury and assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury because he broke the complaining witness’ jaw during a fight. The prosecution filed the charges based on the initial incident report documenting the injuries and the statements given to law enforcement by the complaining witness.  Client was a young man with a good job as a driver for a large parcel delivery company. Through thorough investigation and case preparation, Mr. Wright was able to surgically cross-examine the complaining witness, destroying his credibility in front of the jury, and present an effective defense case.  After trial, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty on all charges.
